This is the worst housing that O have seen in 26+ years of military service. Floods, thefts, nasty and rude maintenance personnel, and mold. Maintenance did not respond to a gas leak so we called the fire department and got yelled at when maintenance did show up. Would not respond to broken toilets or a clogged drain that resulted in flooding.

"Forrestal Housing is off Base Housing"
When we arrived in North Chicago, we were looking for House out of a military housing. Well, with the BAH we get, there were just affordable houses in the ghetto of North Chicago. So we decided to go to housing. Now we live in a 4 bedroom house in a really nice neighborhood! Lots of Kids Parks, about every 4-5 Blocks is one! I pefer to live in Forrestal, as Nimitz or Halsey are older and smaller Houses.
If you come to Great Lakes, move into Forrestal Housing! It's a nice and clean Housing
