Coast Guard Providence: Fort Adams

The housing is small but the views are amazing. Great and safe for walks along the ocean. Great neighborhood, close community with Lots of playgrounds for the kids. You can ride a ferry to downtown. We bike from the housing to downtown on weekends. Summer is nuts b/c that's where most events happens. We had an opportunity to see all the summer events happened at Ft Adams Loved it! Def miss living in Newport.

We loved living at Fort Ord on it’s only little private oasis. We took morning/evening walks around the Fort everyday. So quiet and peaceful. Very family friendly and pet friendly. In the summer you can take a ferry over to events and just have a lot
Of fun. So beautiful in the summer but blistering cold in the winters.

Fort Adams is a great community to live in. Very social. Negatives are the summer commute with all the tourists. But I think the views and friendships outweigh that greatly from everyone that I know that has lived there. There is only 1 public elementary school in Newport now and it's not the best I've heard. Many homeschool or send to private. CLUNY is a highly recommended school and close to Ft Adams. We lived in Portsmouth during that tour. Melville has some nice new(er) homes too.
