Windmill Apartments: Off Base Apartment Complex

"Decent place to live, not too far from Fort Carson"

We rented this apartment based on a friend's recommendation (since he was current a resident). I actually don't have experience with the schools as my kids are not school age yet (but I didn't know how to skip that one). There are definitely quite a few families here with kids, we often see them playing outside. If you have a pet they even have a small area for the dogs to play and "do their business". My biggest complaint about this apartment is noise but that is because I live right next to a fence that separates us from the apartment complex next door and kids tend to climb over the fence as a shortcut. Other apartments may not have the same issue. Also, as far as noise I cannot hear any activity from surrounding apartments so no complaints there. The staff are all very helpful. We complained that our apartment was overly cold and within the same day they had a new furnace installed. Overall, a decent apartment for the price.
