Growing little town close to Maxwell AFB, about 10 mins to the back gate. Has many of the big stores like Target, Best Buy, Publix and Bass Pro shop. Very military and family friendly, still has a small town feel to it. Daniel Pratt Elementary is probably the best school in the River Region and offers a great experience for your kids.

A Little Gem!! Great family-friendly area. The traffic around there wasn't bad at all and I felt very safe letting my kids play outside, even in the street. Memorial park is nearby and it has a great playground and walking trails. It's also right next to a great elementary school.

- Recommendations: YES!!! It only took my husband about 11 minutes to get to base (rear gate entrance) and it was so quaint. Prattville has one of most of the major stores (Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Kohl's, Hobby Lobby, etc.) and lots of other fun stuff as well. If they didn't have it, the Eastchase shopping are in Montgomery is 30 min away. The YMCA system in awesome and has a great play area for young kids, multiple gyms with classes, and great pools.
