"Quaint neighborhood, cool place to live if you don't mind a commute"
Solvang is a small, quaint neighborhood located in the Santa Ynez Valley. The architecture is one of a kind, with windmills and thatched roofs - it looks more like being in a small Dutch city versus California.
Great little village to live in, it is a bit of a commute to Vandy - but once you're home, you feel a million miles away from the world. Lots of local gems, TONS of nearby vineyards for tasting & lots of neat boutiques for shopping. Artsy & cool. Even if you decide not to live here, it makes a great day trip from Vandenberg.
