"Life in Hinesville"

Hinesville is the city where Ft. Stewart is located. Depending on where in Hinesville you live, it can still be a 20min drive onto post. The older part of Hinesville is semi-run down, but the city has been building newer construction and a brand new shopping center that includes, Chick-fil-a, Dick's sporting goods, T.J. Maxx, Petsmart, Starbucks, Ulta Beauty, and Longhorn Steakhouse. The town has a small town feel just because it is about and hour to downtown Savannah and its solely located there because of the base, so almost everyone living in Hinesville is associated with the military.

  • Recommendations: Now that they do have some shopping options besides walmart, I dont think living in Hinesville would be bad. I do, however know that crime there isn't the greatest and it does take a lot longer to get to Savannah or Pooler if you are looking to go do something.
