"Hursbourne Grand"
The area is outside of the city of Louisville, it has nice neighborhoods, parks, shopping, a really nice walk able area. We lived in the apartments in the area named Hurstbourne Grand. The staff is wonderful and very helpful they make you feel at home, if you have any problems they make sure they take of it. Its a very diverse neighborhood with lots of kids around. If you have elementary age children Lowe Elementary is a great school. From the front office to the Principal are very welcoming and they put the kids first. You're about 10 mins from downtown Louisville as well as Indiana. Some activities that we participated in Ky Derby, Louisville Cardinals basketball games, you have Slugger Museum, Mohammed Ali Center, Thunder of Louisville which is a festival before Derby, downtown parks for kids to play and you also have the pedestrian bridge to Indiana. The closest base is Fort Knox which is about 30-45 min from Louisville.

- Recommendations: I personal think anywhere outside of the downtown area is best. You will get more bang for your buck especially if you are buying. For us we rented and it was a central location. Close to enough to downtown without the hassle.
