(close to Portsmouth Naval shipyard -11miles, The Coast Guard and Air Force Base- 20miles) Most of the local libraries here in the seacoast area offer free museum passes to area attractions like Strawberry Banke, the Children's Museum of NH, Historic new England (A group that busy historic homes, preserves them and offers tours of them.) Seacoast science center.)
You can normally call the library to find out if they are available or reserve them and you can get your family into the attractions for free!!!

- How would you describe this Area of Town: Parks and Recreation
- Recommendations: THIS AREA IS GOOD FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT SPACE AND NOT A CITY LIFE. My husband and I thought that was what we wanted, but we miss living in the city. CONS:There are no sidewalks here to go running or walking on. It is a country town so there is no place close to go to anyway. You have to drive to get anywhere. The whole town is on well water so when the power goes out you don't have any water because the electric pump doesn't work. There are some areas of town where the garbage man doesn't drive to so you have to take your trash to the dump yourself. PROS: The people are so nice and it does have a great small town feel. The school district is great, all the lot of land for homes have to be on at least 2 1/2 acers. Portsmouth Naval shipyard is only an 11 minute drive from our house. The Coast Guard and Air Force base are probably 20-30 minutes away. Even though the town doesn't have much Portsmouth is only 15 minutes away & it has everything you would need.
