Downtown Enid: Off Base Area of Town

Downtown Enid has a small town feel to it. Located right in the center of downtown is the Garfield County Courthouse. Then around the courthouse is a ton of law office, shops such as a Bike Shop, Pearl Junkie, Lace-Buck-A-Roo, and some restaurants such as On the Side Walk Bar & Grill, Five80 Coffee House, and Callahans. There is also a couple of Hair Salons scattered throughout downtown. The Square has a lot of trees and green grass, and there is plenty of parking. One of the unique things about Downtown Enid is that on the first Friday of every month they have something called First Friday where a ton of food and craft vendors come together and have something similar to a Saturday Market. There is also games for the little ones, and sometimes even live music. This downtown is quaint and quiet.

This area of town has an older feeling to it. The Courthouse is in the middle of downtown and all around it are shops, law offices, and a couple of restaurants. There is also a bike shop, a couple of hair salons and a theater where they put on live plays. One of the cool and unique things about downtown Enid is that on the first friday of every month, they put together an open air market with food vendors and craft vendors. It is a family friendly environment and the closer you get to the holidays, the more they gear it towards pumpkin patches and games for the kids. It is a great way to bring Enid together one night a month.
