West Ashley: Off Base Area of Town

Review

I grew up in Charleston and married my sailor while he was in Nuke school there. there were always tons of activities and things to do on off time, fishing, tennis, frisby, beach, boating, great night life, and super pet friendly. We owned a pit and great dane and some places even let us bring them inside! We are currently in VA and well can't wait to get back to Charleston. There are places near base that are shady so I suggest the Summerville, West Ashley area as far as places to live. THey aren't too far from base, still close to fun activities and out of the not so great area of Charleston. We personally lived in west Ashley which is close to the beach and downtown while only about 20min. from base. hope this helps!!
