We lived in Atoka and loved it. Very rural, small town feel, but an easy drive to Memphis for big city attractions. We were close to the base, but just over the county line in Tipton County. Utilities were drastically cheaper. Schools are great there too. The commute was 15 minutes on a bad day. Check out Jones Orchard and pick some peaches. We loved Atoka’s rural feel.

  • Recommendations: Bartlett has some good and bad areas, look at Arlington, Atoka, Lakeland, and Brighton (further out but get kids sport program)
