Kingsville: Off Base Area of Town

Kingsville is a very small town located about 45 min from Corpus Christie, TX. It is home to NAS Kingsville and the benefit of living in Kingsville is being 5 min from the base. A small base, but does have a small commissary, bowling alley, and gym.
Kingsville, itself, really only has Walmart, Lowes, and HEB (grocery store). It has a lot of fast food, local restaurants, and a Chilis.
Houses are hard to come by to rent, and to buy you may have to settle for a smaller, older home.
The city is mostly lower income, but does have all demographics. There are a couple of subdivisions, but mostly houses anywhere in the city.
Some benefits of being in a small town - no traffic, no commute, military-friendly, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
Be prepared for a HOT summer and a mild winter. There is only one park - Dick Kleberg park and the best pool is on base.
