"Close to everything"

Lots of military families live near this area. Basically you get more square footage for the price of your house, you are close to big commercial shopping, but it's more of a suburb feel and it takes about 20 minutes to get to bases. If you are stationed out of Oceana, I don't recommend living near this area because it's so far from the bases. Most Oceana military families live in Virginia Beach and it's nice to be close to friends. However if you are out of NAS Norfolk, or anywhere North of Norfolk, it has easy access to Hwy 64 or other highway systems.

LOVE living in Greenbrier!!! Zip 23320 right off I-64. We have a great mall, shops, restaurants, and more but do not feel like its city living. Our neighborhood is just down the street from everything including the town park where wonderful festivals and family activities go on. I feel safe, have great neighbors, and the schools are wonderful!!!!
Pet Park as well. :) Its great for all sizes and Fun Forest is just like it sounds! Amazingly FUN kids park in the 'forest' :)

  • Recommendations: I recommend living in this area as its only 20-30mins to ANY Navy base in the area and do not have to deal with tunnels.
