"Best High School Option in the City"

Redhawk is an extremely safe neighborhood with the best public schools this area has to offer. Great Oak High school has been amazing! ( We have 3 high school students at the moment). Great family atmosphere with plenty of other military families living in the area, We have really enjoyed our time here.

"Redhawk Golf Area Homes, South Temecula near GOHS"

The Redhawk neighborhood in South Temecula has lots of lovely homes, usually with a Spanish style facade but varying as it is a well-designed tract of homes. The Redhawk neighborhoods surround the Redhawk golf course. Lots of military families like this location as it is about as far south in Temecula as you can get, so it is closer to Camp Pendleton and the San Diego bases via the 15 freeway, and it is closer to the freeway onramp than most other areas as well (other than the homes on the west side of Pechanga parkway). The schools are top notch: Red Hawk Elementary, Gardner Middle School and Great Oak High School. GOHS is the high school that is the most coveted in Temecula for its academics, academic competition teams, AP and college prep coursework as well as clubs, sports, band... you name it, if GOHS puts together a program, they usually are competing at very high levels very quickly (girls' volleyball, mock trial, marching band, to name a few). Taxes are lower in Redhawk and nearby Vail Ranch, compare to taxes in nearby, newer Wolf Creek and Morgan Hill (which also attend GOHS). And watch out for HOA fees elsewhere.

  • Recommendations: Paseo Del Sol is master-planned with community pools, as is Paloma Del Sol. These are both north of Pechanga Parkway off Margarita and east. For more no/low HOA and low taxes homes, try Roripaugh (not the new ones) east of Margarita & 79N... they tend to be older than 10 years old. Homes built since 2004 tend to have higher taxes, but you really need to check home by home. Use a realtor (like our team) who can check taxes for you and knows the area.
