Ko Olina: Off Base Neighborhood/Subdivision

Review

"Haole haven"

This is Hawaii at its best. Many friends who live in military housing comment, they wish they lived in Ko Olina. It is steps from great family lagoons. Each neighborhood has a pool. The communities are guarded with gates and a security team is just a phone call away. Many mainlanders live here, so it is not representative of Hawaiian population. I didn't feel like an outsider in this neighborhood.

There is close access to Target, grocery stores, library and the growing town of Kapolei.

Ko Olina is not close to Pearl Harbor and my husband had to drive a while each way. However, we thought is was well worth it for all the perks.
