"Lots of military families and kids"

Stafford Lakes Village is a really good neighborhood for military families. Most of the people who live in the neighborhood are military or have government jobs. Rocky Run Reservoir is going to be the biggest reservoir in Stafford county. It will be done by the end of this year and surrounds the new section of the neighborhood. All of the neighbors I have met are nice. Since most of the people in the neighborhood bought/own their houses everyone takes really good care of their property. Walmart Supercenter at the front of neighborhood is really convenient sometimes.

"Love this neighborhood!"

We purchased our home in Stafford lakes and could not be happier. The streets are well lit have nice sidewalks, plenty of parking and it's SAFE! Most of the neighbors are military, retired military, FBI, DEA, Sheriff or government contractors. Stafford lakes has a nice pool and play ground. You can take all back roads to Quantico so you can skip the 95 traffic. Can't say enough good things.

"Great neigbhorhood, great schools"

We love living here!!! Our kids go to Rocky Run and we have had a great experience. Most Stafford County schools are very good. Don’t be mislead by greatschools.org website’s ratings. We are happy with the school, however it’s ratings isn’t as high as others. Our neighborhood is very nice and there is still some new building going on. We have been here for 3 years.

"Neighborhood with it all"

Stafford Lakes is in South Stafford and we love it. Our neighborhood has many military/retired military/government workers. You can take the back roads to Quantico and miss the I95 traffic and close to all shopping in Fredericksburg (the main reason we bought in S. Stafford). I found the Garrionsville road area ok at best…the shopping and restaurants get old quick. I wanted to be where I have more of a selection.

"Convenient Family Friendly Neighborhood"

This neighborhood was great. It's convenient to things like grocery stores and Walmart. The elementary school is less than a mile away and is ranked as one of the better schools in the district. Fredericksburg is often overlooked when it comes to living in the DC area because many feel that it is too far of a commute. However, you get more home for you money. We lived in this home and still had BAH to cover the mortgage on our house in Lousiana. There are commuting options not too far from this neighborhood, there is a slug lot and then there are several commuter rail stations close by as well. This area should not be overlooked, you'll be missing out if you do.
