Fort Hood: Venable

We have really liked living in Venable housing. We have 4 bedrooms, which is a one story house and it's amazing and really big. Traffic isn't that bad and it only takes me 5 mins to get on post and it takes my spouse 15 mins to get to his company. There's a playground right next to our house and I can walk my kids to and from school everyday.

PRIVATIZED HOUSING INFORMATION
Fort Hood housing is provided by a partnership between the Army and Actus Lend Lease LLC. Housing at Fort Hood was one of the first in the Army to undergo privatization. This partnership began in 2001 and has created master planned communities on the installation. Actus Lend Lease provides free lawn care services to Families of deployed service members. To register, Families should register at their local administrative office. Housing areas are serviced by elected mayors and units who are responsible for their assigned housing area.
