Allegro has the most fabulous gelato in Tucson. Make that in the US. It's really wonderful. Don't be tempted by Frost, the gelato chain! Allegro is run by a 4th generation gelatier from Italy, and all of the gelato/sorbet is made from scratch on premises. They use all organic whole milk, fresh local eggs, etc. They have the most amazing selection of flavors, from the standard chocolate, pb, strawberry to cucumber vodka, saffron, and sea salt caramel. It's a true local gem. They are in the process of adding gelato storefronts to the new Whole Foods on Craycroft/River. Check them out. You won't be disappointed!
