"Preferred residential area"
We lived in far East El Paso (79938) for 3 years and highly recommend it. Average time to east fort Bliss is 20 minutes, and although traffic can be bad during rush hour, we found it an easy mostly expressway commute. The homes are newer and are close to major shopping areas and local and chain restaurants. It's not as affulent as west El Paso but we enjoyed a shorter commute to post and we're able to avoid traffic jams on 1-10 or driving over the mountain daily. Definitely recommend living in Las tierras or even further east.

- How would you describe this Area of Town: shopping, neighborhood, restaurants & bars
- Recommendations: It is close to schools and to east fort Bliss. Convenient to shopping and restaurants off of the loop. The homes are newer and rent more affordable. Only downside is traffic at rush hour, but it is like that throughout the area.
