"Close to Everything, Family Friendly"

This is one of my favorite areas of Virginia Beach. It is a 2 minute drive to Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Chinese food, Starbucks, One Life Fitness, and (in the opposite direction) all the stores in Landstown Commons. It's also less than 15 minutes from 3 different mall areas (Lynnhaven, Pembroke, Town Center). The neighborhood is full of friendly people and there are multiple parks and a community pool. It's a great neighborhood to take a walk around as it is set up around a loop of houses. The commute to most bases is fairly short, but if you're stationed on NOB be prepared for a drive. My husband commutes to NOB and thinks the commute is completely worth living in this area. This neighborhood is HUGE, so there are plenty of housing options. It is an older neighborhood (built in the 1980s), so you will see houses that are kept up and some that are a little worse for wear, but overall it's a nice, safe place to raise your family while you're stationed in Hampton Roads.
