"Family Friendly and Close to SO MUCH!"
Brigadoon is a well established neighborhood, with many parks throughout that are maintained during the year. Great neighborhood for walks and a feeling of safety.
We have lived here for 4 years and I have two young children. With a military spouse who is deployed off/on, I walk my dog with the kids in a stroller a few times a week thru my favorite 1.3 mile trek. I always feel safe!
The community has an established Civic League that puts on events throughout the year including a 4th of July Parade & BBQ, Light the Night Walk, Santa Parade and walk, etc. Civic league membership is only $20/year requested (not demanded) which is used to help beautify flower beds on main intersections in the development, etc.
Close to a WONDERFUL preschool (Mothers Day Out Preschool & Kind off Old Kempsville Rd). Very affordable and offer early and late childcare around school hours. My daughter attended the last 3 years (age 2-5 thru PreK) Offer program starting for infants!

"Great neighbordhood, close to everything"
Brigadoon is a great neighborhood that is close to a lot of shopping, places to eat, and parks. Roughly 20-25 minutes from all area bases with easy access to I-64. Quiet neighborhood where you will often see people walking throughout the day. High school students can walk to high school. Area holds community yard sales twice a year for residents.
