Spanish Trail Area: Off Base Area of Town

I lived here with my family when my dad was in the Navy from 1998-2004. I attended UWF and graduated Magna Cum Laude with two majors. We lived in the neighborhood of Brittany Forge off of Spanish Trail. My dad worked at the naval hospital located nearby. I was able to run and walk with my dog in safe environments on a daily basis using sidewalks and side streets located throughout the nearby neighborhoods. There are a number of trails in the nearby area to walk and see the wildlife of the area and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Many of the families are in the middle class and have a military background. I was able to utilize the track and campus facility of the community college located just 2 miles away to workout and to take additional classes that interested me when I had time off from college. The weather was wonderful and when it got really warm we headed to "The Bluffs" to go swimming in the waterway. Pensacola beach is just a 25 minute commute and the beach is a vision people only dream of. White sands and crystal blue water...absolutely beautiful. The beach is also a great place to watch the annual Blue Angels Show so you can be in the cooler and enjoy the sights.
