Pebble Beach is an entirely gated community on the ocean. It is very quiet and safe, and most of the neighborhood is within the Pacific Grove school district which is considered one of the best on the Monterey Peninsula. The neighborhood is adjacent to Pacific Grove, a quaint town with a lovely main street, nice parks and walking trails along the water. A Trader Joes's and several other grocery stores are close by.

- Recommendations: A few things to consider when looking at homes in Pebble Beach are: it is located in a fog belt and is cool, damp and foggy most of the year. Homes are older, tend to be outdated and frequently the property managers do not clean or maintain the homes between renters. Very few families with school-aged children live in Pebble Beach, it is mostly retired couples. Finding a rental that is pet-friendly is difficult in Monterey (think $5,000 pet deposit) but even more so in Pebble Beach. If you want to be around young families with children, have pets or prefer sunny weather this is probably not the best place to be.
