Dakota Ridge: Off Base Neighborhood/Subdivision

"Excellent and Quiet Neighborhood"

Like many housing neighborhoods in Colorado Springs, this one is quiet with nice houses, most of which were built in the early-mid 1990s. The hills throughout offer a great view of the entire Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Most of the houses and yards are maintained well in the summer and it's typically one of the first ares to get snow plowed after a snow storm. It's about a 20 minute drive to Peterson AFB and to the AF Academy. It's 10 minutes away from Powers Blvd and Academy Blvd which host the majority of the stores and businesses in northern Colorado Springs. There is an outdoor neighborhood pool and tennis court which requires ~$300 yearly membership fee but is a great place for kids and the hangout in the summer and fall. Finally, there is an undeveloped outdoor area with a couple miles of bike trails running near a creek which is a pretty place to ride or go for a walk in the summer.
