We enjoyed living here. So close to many thing in San Diego. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We lived in the cul de sac. You do live very close to an ikea of you live here. The Doris Miller elementary school was amazing with amazing staff. We loved the Asymca was close and always had fun events for military families.

We have LOVED living in Murphy Canyon! The kids have tons of friends, and play outside often. There are many sports programs offered through the Murphy Canyon Recreation Center as well as preschool. The community is in a suburb of San Diego called Tierrasanta. We are close to restaurants, shopping, and churches. We have 4 kids ages 16,12,8,and 6. This location is an easy commute to all bases. Living in housing in San Diego has been a GREAT way to get know people in a new area!

"Great Military Housing in Tierrasanta"
Murphy Canyon is great military housing in Tierrasanta. We absolutely recommend living here. This is our second time here and we love it. There are 5 elementary schools within 2 miles. Base Schools aren't so great, but you can put your kids into 3 different schools. The neighborhood is about 20 mins from NB San Diego and 25 mins to Naval Air Station North Island, Coronado (NASNI).
