East Aurora: Off Base Area of Town

"East Aurora"

This is a sleepy town lost in time. It has a main street that looks like a postcard, dotted with old store fronts and old signage above he buildings. There has been an effort to protect and revitalize the history of this small town and it is obvious in the way that it is so well kept. There is always flowers blooming and beautiful landscape. There are plenty of small mom n pop shops, antique stores, coffee shops, and restaurants of any caliber. Our favorite brunch spot is on main street,where you can enjoy fresh crepes on the covered porch. The homes are older, many historic, but as you move to the outskirts there are also new construction neighborhoods going up. The homes here have a very country/quiet feel. Crime is almost nonexistent. The schools are great, but if you work in the city, the drive can be a bit cumbersome. The highway proximity is close but it will be 30-40 minutes to get into the city. Snow fall totals can be a bit higher in this area as well.
