Lewiston: Off Base Area of Town

A beautiful and historic town along the Niagara river waterfront. This town is an old sleepy town that has the feel of a touristy town because of its main street. It is lined with beautiful shops, antiques, local artisans, bakeries, art dealers, restaurants. Many of the eateries have outdoor seating where you can enjoy your meal and enjoy the scenery. Crime is virtually nonexistent. The drive from Buffalo to Lewiston is about 40 minutes. There is no shopping mall close by and only a few grocery stores to choose from but for what it lacks in chain type shopping it makes up for in charm. Perfect for families. Great schools, great health care and a very quiet community to raise your kids in. Also want to say that if you are a fishermen, it doesn't get any better than fishing in the Niagara River!! If you are looking for adventure, take the jet boat tour up the Niagara river to the base of Niagara falls, invigorating!!
