"Hidden Gem Beach Town"
Navarre near Eglin AFB is a wonderful small beach town. The beaches are gorgeous! It’s located halfway between Destin and Pensacola. The closest bases are Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field. It’s also close to Pensacola but I wouldn’t recommend that commute. Navarre has a ton of military families, retirees, and federal contractors. Surrounded mostly by water, there are always outdoor activities to entertain the family and friends. This is a quiet, family-friendly area and a typical calm beach town. People in the area are diverse, kind, and community oriented. Only downfall is the population has increased and traffic can be bad. The worst traffic is at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base gate. Traffic has gotten worse the last couple years especially since there is only one highway.
